In this project, BIPV (Building-Integrated Photovoltaics) modules are discreetly and aesthetically integrated into the façade. Visually unobtrusive, they appear as a regular façade material, allowing the building to maintain a clean architectural expression while simultaneously generating renewable energy.
The project demonstrates that design and functionality need not be mutually exclusive. The photovoltaic modules form an integral part of the façade, where module and building envelope function as a single architectural and energy-generating element.
The building employs the Swiss BIPV integration principle, where photovoltaic modules are installed only in economically and architecturally appropriate locations. Combined with windows and other façade materials, the BIPV solutions create a balanced combination of aesthetics, functionality, and energy efficiency.
